The National Horticulture Congress is traditionally held on the first Wednesday of October. LUSH Events has been involved since the very first edition. Together with the programme manager and communications specialist of Greenports Netherlands, the theme and subsequently the content of the programme and workshops are defined.

Afterwards, LUSH selects a suitable venue that matches the theme. For example, the 2023 congress took place at Naturalis Biodiversity Center, as biodiversity was the central topic that year. The 2024 edition focused on robotisation and was therefore hosted at Unmanned Valley in Katwijk aan Zee.
